Signed Photograph and Letter from Eduard Lacourtiere, Executive Chef to James M. McGowan Jr., president at the Campbell's Soup Company. The letter reads, "Mr. James M McGowan Jr. My dear M. McGowan. This is simply a good remembrance of my past 25 years with you and the great institution. Sincerely yours, Ed E. Lacourtiere. The photograph matting is inscribed, "To M. James McGowan Jr., Ed E. Lacrourtiere." Lacourtiere served as Executive Chef at Campbell's Soup Company, succeeding Chef Louis DeLisle. He was responsible for formulating over 34 new successful soups, including Chicken Noodle and Cream of Mushroom. He also helped develop formulas for V8, Campbell's baby food and soups, Franco- American pasta and gravy products, Campbell's frozen soups, and Campbell's first blended fruit juice launch.James McGowan Jr. served as president of the Campbell's Soup Company from 1946 to 1953.
